Big Bang Suspension Lamp
The Big Bang Suspension Lamp has been created by Enrico Franzolini and Vicente Garcia Jiménez for the brand Foscarini. Blending chaos and geometric order, Big Bang is an ambitious range of lamps which takes inspiration from the birth of the universe. This entry in the family is a pendant lamp with a complex knot-like form, which will add a mesmerising visual touch to all interior spaces.
The Big Bang Suspension Lamp instantly attracts attention thanks to its diffuser. Franzolini and Garcia Jimenez have used criss-crossing bands of methacrylate plastic to create an explosion-like form, with shapes emerging in all directions. The complexity of the shade is matched by a pure light which is cast in all directions, while the shade is supported by an aluminium frame and a series of straight and curved cables.
The Big Bang Suspension Lamp is 96cm wide, with a height of 66cm. The cables are 320cm long and suspend the lamp to a maximum height of 386cm, while there is also a 22cm diameter ceiling canopy. Generating minimal glare and optimal brightness, the lamp weighs 5.4kg and requires a single halogen rod bulb. The appropriate lamp with the R7s socket can be ordered under accessories.
