Mite Anniversario LED Lamp
The Mite Anniversario LED Lamp has been created by Marc Sadler for the brand Foscarini. Industrial designer Sadler combines intellectual curiosity with a passion for painting with technology to come up with pieces that are stunners in every way. His innovative and experimental approach leads him to create designs such as the Mite Anniversario LED Lamp. When the Mite floor lamp debuted in 2001, it was awarded the Compasso D'oro. The LED lamp is an update of the 2001 version released in celebration of the anniversary of the original lamp from 20 years ago. The lamp has a column shape with a wide top that narrows towards the bottom. The column-shaped diffuser is made of fibreglass fabric and carbonium thread. The updated version has a pair of integrated LED boards that cast light in all directions. The carbonium thread has been made thinner and placed on a wider spiral. This creates a mythical, lovely effect as the threads wind around the base. The base is now made of black marble that gives it a sophisticated look.
The Mite Anniversario LED Lamp has a diameter of 21cm and a height and 185cm. Its 220cm-long cable has an in-line dimmer. The luminaire has built-in LED light sources that cannot be replaced.
