The 1952 Ant™ Chair Front Upholstered Chromed Base is a series of elegant curves. Its backrest has a rounded upper edge. The lines taper downwards and broaden out again to create the illusion of a two-layered backrest. The curved lines open out further to form a well-sized seat with rounded edges. The shell is made of a single piece of laminated plywood. The front of it is upholstered with different types of fabrics and colours. The shell is supported by a base made of chrome-plated steel. It has been used to form tube-shaped legs with gliders underneath. Rather than straight, they are slightly outspread. Apart from the aesthetics, this detail makes it possible to stack the chairs for convenient storage.
The Ant™ Chair Front Upholstered Chromed Base has a width of 52cm, a height of 81cm and a depth of 48cm. Its seat height is 46cm. It is available in bright and neutral colours. Padded and upholstered seat pads are available for purchase separately.
