Caravaggio™ Suspension Lamp Opal Gass
Cecilie Manz' Caravaggio Opal suspension lamp, created for the Danish lamp manufacturer Fritz Hansen, reached the status of a true modern classic in record time.
Originally the Caravaggio pendant lamp was especially famous for its memorable design with its characteristic textile grommet covering the electrical cord, as well as its high-gloss lacquered metal shade emitting downward direct lighting. Caravaggio Opal now offers the possibility of uniting the popular design with a completely new light experience. The shade made of opal glass creates soft, muted, and comfortable light, which is especially suited for rooms that call for atmospheric lighting.
The translucent, hand-blown glass emits the light into every direction and illuminates the entire lamp body from the inside.
The hanging fixture is made up of the three famous arches, that act as masculine counterpart to the feminine glass shade. The cable is covered by a grey grommet and makes for a beautiful nuance in contrast to the white shade.
