Concert™ P3 Suspension Lamp
The Concert Suspension Lamp was designed by Jörn Utzon for the manufacturer Fritz Hansen.
The inspiration behind the design was to combine several lampshades in harmony, an idea that Utzon has realised sucesfully with characteristic skill and style. However, the name is also a reference to his most famous architectural landmark the Sydney Opera House, and the interplay of edges and curved surface is an original yet unmistakable tribute to the building.
As often seen in Fritz Hansen designs, materials are carefully selected and are of primary importance. The shades of the Concert Suspension Lamp are made from triple-layered opal blown glass. Combined with a parabolic reflector, the lamp is set to fill rooms with soft, clear light; extra illumination comes from the spaces between the shades. Available in different sizes - at diameters of 32cm and 55cm and heights of 16.6cm and 32cm - it's easy to choose one that works for your space. This eye-catching design will make a perfect centrepiece to any living space. Picture it over a dining table, illuminating a kitchen in a pair or lending extra character and a lovely, restful light to your bedroom.
