Giulio Castelli launched Kartell in 1949. It quickly gained a reputation for appealing and functional lighting designs that work in both domestic and public settings. Ferruccio Laviani started his career in 1980 as part of the Memphis design group. He is best known for his Bourgie lamp.
Shimmering like a diamond or colourful gemstone, the Big Battery LED Table Lamp With Battery is a larger reworking of an earlier Laviani lamp. With its cordless design and generous battery life of up to eight hours, this lamp is both practical and chic. It looks good in any room of the home or on an office desk. The Art Deco-inspired faceted shade produces an eye-catching light effect while the curves of the pedestal and foot add a touch of the Baroque. A contemporary twist is added with the use of tough PMMA plastic for the lamp's construction. Other features of the Big Battery LED Table Lamp with Battery include USB recharging, on/off and dimmer switches and an energy-efficient LED unit. The lamp measures 37.3cm in height and 17cm in diameter.
