Around Coffee Table Big
The Around Coffee Table was designed by the Danish designer Thomas Bentzen for the design furniture manufacturer muuto.
The Around Coffee Table in its large version is made of wood and available in oak, ash, or coloured. With its clear and simple design designer Thomas Bentzen gave this table for muuto a modern and at the same time clear identity. The Around Coffee Table is robust, stable, and with its rim around the top guarantees that coffee sets and glasses stay where they belong. Material and technical processing of the Coffee Table are very typical elements for Scandinavian and especially Danish design.
In their designs muuto often take up typical Scandinavian motives and reinterprets them with a new twist. The name muuto is Finnish for "new perspective". The Around Coffee Table follows this motto and combines tradition and modernity, or as designer Thomas Bentzen says: Around creates a practical as well as comfortable place for sitting together.
