The Muuto Enfold Sideboard High was designed by Thomas Bentzen for Muuto.
The Scandinavian design company Muuto was launched in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2006. It is deeply rooted in traditional Scandinavian furniture design, which it brings into the contemporary world with forward-looking techniques and materials. As well as having its own creative team, the label commissions the work of talented young designers. Thomas Bentzen opened his Copenhagen studio in 2010 since when his work has achieved international recognition and is now widely exhibited. His designs marry functionality and simplicity creating flexible ranges with multiple uses that look just as good in domestic settings as in public spaces.
With his Enfold range, Bentzen has brought the look of outside furniture inside, creating practical and multifunctional pieces that feature an almost industrial look. The Muuto Enfold Sideboard High is a pleasing fusion of warm and cold materials. It has sliding doors constructed from stamped and powder-coated steel with a ridged appearance reminiscent of corrugated iron. In contrast to this, the body of the sideboard is made from solid oak. Finishing elements are delicate feet and two adjustable shelves. The dimensions of the Muuto Enfold Sideboard High are 94.5 x 84 x 45 cm.
