Masters Bar Stool 65cm
The Masters Bar Stool 65cm has been created by Philippe Starck and Eugeni Quitllet for the brand Kartell. With Masters, Starck and Quitllet took inspiration from a trio of legendary designers. The imprint of Arne Jacobsen, Eero Saarinen and Charles Eames are all present in this compact stool which uses finely sculpted plastic to wonderful effect.
The Masters Bar Stool 65cm has a classic four-legged base with horizontal beams providing additional support. The legs are slightly angled outwards towards the base, and extend the height of the stool to 99cm. Above that base, Starck and Quitllet have added their masterpiece: a sculpted backrest and armrest which winds sinuously around the stool. To achieve this, they used a thermoplastic polymer which is made from 100% recycled material. This minimises the environmental impact of the chair, while ensuring that it packs a visual punch.
The Masters Bar Stool 65cm has a seat width of 49cm and a depth of 52cm - enough space to sit comfortably while working at laptops or enjoying coffee. The seat height is 65cm, while the armrests are 74cm high and the stool as a whole weighs just 4.2kg - ideal for moving around and positioning seating in the perfect location.
