Charles and Ray Eames were arguably two of the most influential designers of the 20th Century. Heralded for their pioneering work in architecture, furniture design and photography, they are perhaps best known for their iconic chairs. They experimented with materials and shapes, moulding plywood to create a seat moulded to the human shape.
The Eames Fiberglass Side Chair DSX Black Base is designed to be a simple, gracious form that fits all bodies and every room. Measuring 46.5cm in width, 83cm in height and 55cm in depth, it's the ideal height for a dining chair but can adapt to any space in the home, office or even in the garden. The four legs, with felt sliders for hard wood floors, are made of coated steel for maximum strength and durability.
