Fun 1STM Floor Lamp
The Fun 1STM Floor Lamp has been created by Verner Panton for the brand Verpan.The designer's love for experimenting with production materials and different forms inspired this unique design. The lamp which was originally conceived in 1964 is one of his most popular designs.
The Fun 1STM Floor Lamp is a cascade of seashell discs. It starts with a tier of stainless steel rings that are finished with chrome plating. It gives the lamp a polished, sophisticated look. The smallest ring is at the top, the mid-sized one is in the middle and the largest is at the bottom. They are attached to each other with chrome-plated bars. The ones on the largest ring go all the way down and are joined at the bottom to provide a steady base for the lamp. The discs are attached to the rings with small wires that don't affect the overall look of the lamp. The discs conceal a light source in the middle while simultaneously bouncing light around a space with clever reflections.
The Fun 1STM Floor Lamp has a height of 120cm and a diameter of 40cm. Its cable is 220cm long. It comes in neutral colours. The lamp works with an E27 socket, a bulb has to be purchased separately.
