Pantonova Convex Garden Lounge Chair
The Pantonova Convex Garden Lounge Chair has been created by Verner Panton for the brand Montana. The late Danish industrial designer Panton is remembered as one of the country's most influential innovative and futuristic designers. He was a pioneer of the use of new production materials such as brightly coloured plastics. The 1971 Pantonova Convex Garden Lounge Chair is an example of his innovative and experimental approach to design. This modular chair was originally made in chrome-plated steel wire. Montana now make it out of stainless steel that is finished with a powder coating to make it suitable for outdoor use as well as indoor use. This sculptural chair has a convex backrest that encourages you to lean back and relax when you sit on it. It is best used with well-padded cushions that are available for purchase separately. The cushions are upholstered in velvet, woven fabric or leather and they are attached around the chair's wire with press studs.
The Pantonova Convex Garden Lounge Chair has a width of 78.7cm, a height of 73.2cm and a depth of 57.8cm. It can be used on its own or along with other modular pieces from the same brand with which it can be transformed into a sofa shaped into a semi circle.
