Series 430 Chair Black Base
The chic, modern Series 430 Panton Chair was designed by the influential Danish designer Verner Panton for his company Verpan back in 1967. They reintroduced this timeless design to their range in 2015. Panton's designs are known for their sleek modernism and sinuous curves, as well as for their innovation, use of fabric and restless intelligence. Panton's design skills were wide-ranging, encompassing architecture and newspaper design as well as the furniture and interior designs upon which his reputation largely rests, and it is perhaps this versatility which has led to his designs still being in production fifty years after they first took the design world by storm.
The Series 430 Panton Chair is a Panton classic, a combination of austere, clean lines with comfortable seating. A stainless steel frame provides the setting for a comfortably upholstered seat, roomy at 45cm diameter, and a generously sized curved backrest, so combining modernist good looks with genuine comfort. This is a chair to lean back in that also looks like a work of art, a difficult trick to pull, and would grace any modern kitchen or dining room. The chair is 82cm in height, 46cm wide and is available in four different colours.
