Frame Armchair

The Frame Armchair has been created by Mario Tsai for the brand Woud. The design of this chair is inspired by the scaffolding that is commonly erected around buildings under construction in the designer's home country of China.

The outer frame on the Frame Armchair that is made of metal runs along and across in semblance to the scaffolding. The chair has a wide backrest and a seat that is equally wide. The two are joined with a metallic tube that runs down the middle. The design mimics the form of the human body with the aim of offering optimal comfort and support. The inner shell is padded with cold foam and is upholstered with Kotex Daily D50. This is a polyester fabric that is hardwearing and resistant to stains which makes it easy to clean and maintain.

The Frame Armchair has a width of 57cm, a height of 77cm and a depth of 53cm. It has a seat height of 47.5cm. It comes in dark grey or taupe with a black lacquered frame. This chair will make for comfortable and stylish gatherings around a dinner or kitchen table.
