Standard SP Chair
The Standard SP Prouvé Chair has been created by Jean Prouvé for the brand Vitra. It is a remake of the Standard chair that the designer created in 1950. It has been given a whole different look with several features that bring it up-to-date with contemporary pieces.
The Standard SP Prouvé Chair has an upper edge that is slightly curved. It is also curved at the sides which hugs the back and provides optimal support. The chair has a seat that is generously sized. The shell is made of ASA plastic. It is a type of finely textured thermoplastic that is tough and rigid. It is supported by a base made of steel. This includes bent sheet steel as well as tubular steel that is finished with powder coating. The front chairs are made of straight tubular rods. The ones at the back rise from the floor and go behind the backrest. They have a wedge shape that gives the chair an intriguing aesthetic detail. They have felt gliders underneath.
The Standard SP Prouvé Chair has a width of 42cm, a height of 82cm and a depth of 49cm. It has a seat height of 46.5cm. It comes in uniform neutral colours or a mix of neutral and bright colours.
