The low backrest gives the sofa a laid-back lounge look and feel. It folds flat for use as a bed. The seat that functions as a mattress when the sofa is converted to a bed is made of Excess Pocket Spring which is supremely comfortable. The armrests on either side are padded and upholstered with matching fabric. The sofa bed is upholstered with strong, comfortable polyester fabric. It is supported by a base made of oak and steel.
