Riff Modular Corner Sofa
The Riff Modular Corner Sofa has been created by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl for the brand Norr 11. It gets its name Riff from the world of jazz music. It means to borrow and elaborate on. Indeed, the sofa's design has been borrowed from the classic modular sofa and elaborated on with details that modernise it and make it sophisticated and luxurious.
The Riff Modular Corner Sofa has seven modules. They are securely attached to each other with a Click-Link system. One of the most outstanding details on the sofa is the fluting. It has been done with evenly spaced, straight lines over the backrest and armrests. Both of them are set low which gives the sofa a laid-back, lounge look. The sofa has a shell made of plywood that has a generous padding of cold cure foam. Upholstery hides the padding and the wood. It has been done with a type of boucle fabric from the Barnum range or Fame from the Gabriel line. Both are comfortable, strong, and hardwearing and have rich colour tones.
