Arco Console Table
The Arco Console Table has been created by Chuck Mack for the brand Design House Stockholm. Mack is a carpenter by background, and his furniture often relies on architectural features to create unusual forms. In this case, he has used a wooden trestle, adding a practical and visually appealing element to the traditional side table form.
The Arco Console Table has a rectangular surface measuring 73cm long and 42cm wide, which has gently bevelled edges that avoid sharp lines. This surface rests on a classic trestle with four angled legs, all of which taper slightly towards the base. Diagonal struts provide extra support underneath the tabletop, while end plates also toughen up the base. This means that the Arco Console Table can take more weight than traditional side tables, without using excessive amounts of material.
The trestle section of the Arco Console Table has been made from oak wood and comes in natural versions or models with stained white and black finishes. The tabletop has been created from MDF and has a height of 90cm - perfect for placing flowers in hallways or alarm clocks and accessories in bedroom corners. With a weight of just 8.3kg, the console table can also be moved wherever extra surface space is required.
