Dioscuri Parete Wall Lamp/Ceiling Lamp
The Dioscuri Parete Wall Lamp/Ceiling Lamp has been created by Michele de Lucchi for Artemide. Its outstanding design won its designer prestigious awards like the 2000 Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen for Design Innovation and the German Reddot Design Award Essen among others.
The Dioscuri Parete Wall Lamp/Ceiling Lamp could pass for wall art before it is turned on. It has a round technopolymer body that sits unobtrusively on a wall or ceiling. It has a diffuser made of blown frosted glass finished with acid-etching. It casts a soft, uniform and glare-free light. The diffuser is held in place by a concealed thermoplastic resin base that makes it possible for the lamp to cast light beyond its perimeter.
The Dioscuri Parete Wall Lamp/Ceiling Lamp comes in four sizes. The smallest one has a height of 13cm and a diameter of 14cm. The mid-sized ones have a height of 23cm and a diameter of 25cm and the next one in size has a height of 34cm and a diameter of 35cm. The largest one has a height of 42cm and a diameter of 42cm. It comes in a light-toned neutral colour and it works with an E27 socket. A single one will look elegant but a cluster will look spectacular.
