AJ Floor Lamp Stainless Steel
The AJ Floor Lamp Stainless Steel was designed by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Louis Poulsen.
When he passed away in 1971, Danish architect and designer Jacobsen left behind a rich legacy of phenomenal buildings and furniture. So much so that he is considered a grandfather of contemporary Danish furniture. The lines of his designs were clean and elegant, so the end result was always classic, timeless pieces that never go out of style.
Jacobsen's designs embodying Danish heritage are exemplified by his AJ Floor Lamp Stainless Steel, a luminaire first produced in 1957 that is one of his best-loved loved creations. Radiating Fifties cool and ideal for both general lighting and reading, the AJ Floor Lamp Stainless Steelhas a cone-shaped shade and a loop for the base that inclines from front to back. The shade can be adjusted to give a light as soft or as bright as desired without glare. In 2020, the timeless AJ Floor Lamp Stainless Steel was re-launched at Copenhagen's SAS Royal Hotel to celebrate the hotel's 60th anniversary. It was a fitting tribute to a legendary designer and architect.
