Tripod HM8 Floor Lamp
The Tripod HM8 Floor Lamp was designed by Hvidt & Mølgaard for the brand &Tradition.
Launched in 1929, &Tradition reflects the best of Danish design, whether in the reworking of pieces from its archives or contemporary furniture and lighting destined to become the icons of the future. Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen were pioneers of mid-century Danish design, working from their Copenhagen studio. They are known for the precise function and elegant aesthetics of their pieces as well as for the use of innovative materials. Their work is exhibited around the globe including in New York's MoMA and the National Gallery, Melbourne.
Originally designed in 1952, the Tripod HM8 Floor Lamp was not put into production until 2020. Its structured minimalist look has been brought right up to date with the latest lighting technology and features an energy-efficient A++ LED bulb. The lamp is made from aluminium and steel in a choice of finishes. The ball-shaped base and geometric support add a surprising element to the Traditional lines of the diffuser and the stylish brass details. The overall dimensions of the Tripod HM8 Floor Lamp are 47 x 134 x 63 cm with a cable length of 200cm.
