Margin Table Lamp
The Margin Table Lamp has been created by John Astbury for the brand New Works. It is a retake of the traditional round lamp. The innovative designer recreated it and made it all his own with layered, intersecting shades.
The Margin Table Lamp is made of two round, textile shades that are tiered. The fabric diffuses the light into a warm, soft light that is cast all around. The larger shade accommodates the smaller one around its lower circumference. The layered shades have a metallic stem going through them. At the bottom, it goes into a round base with raised edges that holds the lamp steady. The stem and base are made of steel that is finished with powder coating. Their dark colour makes a stark contrast against the light colour of the shades. A pull cord on the side is used to turn the lamp on and off.
The Margin Table Lamp has a height of 56.5cm and a diameter of 36cm. Its textile cable has a length of 200cm. The lamp cannot be dimmed and it uses an E27 socket. Sitting on a bedside table, entryway table, work desk or shelf, it will add a look of timeless elegance.
