Stemlite Wall Lamp
The Stemlite Wall Lamp has been created by Bill Curry for the brand Gubi. American designer Curry initially created Stemlite in 1962. Seeking to create a 'total lamp', Curry came up with a bold design that was totally in keeping with the progressive, optimistic atmosphere of 1960s California. Now, that spirit is available in Gubi's own Stemlite range, including this stylish wall lamp for interior settings.
The Stemlite Wall Lamp features the classic Stemlite shade, which has been formed into a gently flattened sphere. This shade is supported by an elegant, slim metal bracket that broadens out into a socket to accommodate the diffuser and is itself attached to a rounded wall base. The base and stem are made from die cast metal with a glossy finish, while the diffuser is made from opal mouth blown glass. A small cylindrical switch can be found under the diffuser, and this can be easily rolled on or off as desired.
The Stemlite Wall Lamp has a height of 42cm and a maximum diameter of 32cm. A dimmer function is built into the design to calibrate the brightness from its energy efficient bulb. Everything comes together in a harmonious wall lamp that soothes, inspires, and always looks exceptional.
