Pillow Planter
The Pillow Planter has been created by Stefano Giovannoni for the brand Vondom. Intended for outdoor use, Pillow is a playful range of furnishings defined by soft curves and Mediterranean style white tones. This entry in the collection is a creatively sculpted planter, with room for a variety of plants, whether they are cacti, creepers, or blooming flowers.
The Pillow Planter immediately makes an impression with its gently billowing, rounded form. The planter has a square profile and appears inflated thanks to Giovannoni's clever use of polyethylene materials and rotational moulding techniques. However, the design is robust and well secured against wind, while the PE materials are also resistant against rain and extreme heat, as well as the chemicals used on plants.
The Pillow Planter measures 67cm long and 67cm wide, with a height of 34cm. The cavity within the planter has a capacity of 24l and the produce weighs 8kg when not loaded with soil or plants. The structure includes a self-watering system to help to deliver sufficient moisture in warm conditions, and internal lights can be added as well. Combine it with Vondom seats and tables to add greenery to outdoor settings, or just add a planter to existing arrangements.
