Altorfer Model 1158 Deckchair
The Altorfer Model 1158 Deckchair has been created by Huldreich Altorfer for the brand Embru. The brand designs and produces furniture for homes and commercial spaces. The brand's chairs have been produced in Rüti, in the Zurich highlands, for more than 100 years. Also known as the spaghetti chair, the Altorfer Model 1158 Deckchair that was designed in 1948 is still as popular as ever. This Swiss classic has a frame made of tubular steel with PVC cords tied around the frame to form the backrest, seat and leg rest that can be put up or down. The chair rests on sled-type legs, also made of tubular steel, that have plastic gliders underneath. There are upturned armrests on either side of the chair.
The Altorfer Model 1158 Deckchair has a length of 133cm, a width of 61cm and a height of 111cm. It is available in a selection of colours from neutral to bold, bright colours. They include traffic yellow, light blue, grey blue, traffic red, dusky pink, pine green, wine red, traffic white, ash grey, light green and graphite black. The deckchair can be folded for convenient storage. Neck padding and a mattress for the chair are sold separately.
