To protect the lifespan of the LED, the lamp turns itself off when it is charging via a USB cable to protect the lifespan of the LED. When it is fully charged, which takes seven hours, the lamp stays illuminated for up to 16 hours. There are two brightness settings and three colour temperate settings. The settings options are candle-like warm white, neutral white and cool white.
