Its novel backrest has an oval shape and edges that curve inwards such that they cradle the back. It is made of form-pressed veneer and has round cover caps on show which add a subtle decorative detail. The shell is supported by a base that is just as elaborate. It has sturdy, rounded legs with shapely bars running across them to form armrests. Detailed supports go in between the chair's legs underneath the seat to reinforce its strength and stability.
