Instead, he goes the other way and experiments with new forms, materials and methods to come up with unexampled, innovative pieces. The Four Table 223x79x72cm showcases his approach and talent. It defies convention with a thin tabletop made of scratch-resistant laminate that is not joined to the frame. Rather, it is attached to a U-shaped frame with beveled joints. The frame is formed from painted steel. These joints and the table's 2.5cm thickness create the illusion that the tabletop is floating above it. Apart from the aesthetics, this design adds function to the table by making it easy to slide a CPU, drawers or another form of storage underneath it.
