Cellular Carpet 200x300cm
The Cellular Carpet 200x300cm has been created by Ross Lovegrove for the label Moooi Carpets. The design for this carpet was inspired by building blocks. These are the building blocks of life that represent the development of man-made structures. They are presented in form of different sizes of circles and other odd shapes. These have a dark mustard yellow colour that fades to a lighter shade of yellow towards the ends of the carpet.
The Cellular Carpet 200x300cm is made of polyamide. This is a type of synthetic fibre that is very hard-wearing so it can be used in high-traffic areas. It is in fact, the strongest type of nylon which is one of the reasons it is used for carpets. Another reason is that it takes dye very well which is why images on it look so lifelike. Printing is done digitally with a printer that injects dye deep into the textile. This is done by computer-controlled inkjets so the printer never touches the fabric. This adds to the final result which is a clean one with no smudges or blurred lines.
The Cellular Carpet 200x300cm has a length of 300cm and a width of 200cm. It is available in yellow.
