Ceras 3 Rug
The Ceras 3 Rug has been created by Nani Marquina for the brand Nanimarquina. This rug was designed following in-depth research into colour. This was done by tracing it manually using crayons. The mission was to create a rug that balanced three different colours perfectly using a simple pattern of stripes. The mission was accomplished with aplomb.
The Ceras 3 Rug is a harmonious rug that beautifully pulls the look of a room together with its three-colour lines. It is woven using the kilim technique on a handloom. The rug is made of pure Afghan wool that is spun by hand. This technique results in a surface that has a flat weave. This is achieved by attaching the warp strands to the loom and then interweaving them with weft strands. The weft is woven much tighter and with more density so it bears the weight of the pattern. The finished product is a rug that is durable and lightweight.
The Ceras 3 Rug is available in two sizes. The smaller one has a width of 170cm and a length of 240cm while the larger one has a width of 200cm and a length of 300cm. It comes in dark grey and brown.
