Morning Shimmer Carpet
The Morning Shimmer Carpet has been created by Moooi Carpets for the brand Moooi Carpets. The design on the carpet is inspired by different times of day and seasons. The cool shades suggest that still moment just before the sun rises when it's still slightly dark.
One reason the image on the Morning Shimmer Carpet is so crisp is thanks to the fabric it is made of. Known as polyamide, it is a manufactured fabric that is made using monomers. There are different types but nylon is the most commonly used mainly because of how strong it is.
It is also a preferred fabric for making carpets due to the graphic, lifelike quality it gives to prints. This is thanks to how well polyamide takes ink. A lot of vividly printed carpets such as those commonly found in hotel corridors and rooms are made of it. 3D digital printing is done using an industrial Chromojet printer. It has a high resolution that captures and reproduces every colour tone, contrast and other details with very high accuracy. Polyamide carpets are resistant to stains and are easy to maintain. The Morning Shimmer Carpet comes with a diameter of 250cm or 350cm. It comes in blue and black.
