Zigzag Carpet
The Zigzag Carpet has been created by Edward van Vliet for the brand Moooi Carpets. The design of this carpet is achieved using a series of lines repeated infinitely in different ways to form a geometric pattern. The effect is a unique, linear look that is refined and capable of pulling the look of space together with the equanimous carpet taking centre stage.
The pattern on the Zigzag Carpet is very vividly illustrated because it is printed on a type of fabric known as polyamide. It is a type of nylon which is known for its resilience. It is also known and favoured for picture-perfect images in terms of colour richness and contrast. This is because of the way it takes dye. Printing is done with a digital Chromojet printer. It dispenses dye via computer-controlled inkjets which enables high precision. This and the printer's high resolution gives a final result of rich colour tones and sharply defined contrasts.
The Zigzag Carpet has a length of 300cm and a width of 200cm. It is available in red or grey, with both showing numerous shades along its length to add to its striking design.
