Bourgie Table Lamp
The Bourgie Table Lamp has been created by Ferruccio Laviani for the brand Kartell. Part of the permanent collection of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Bourgie Lamp is one of Laviani's finest creations. Featuring skilfull use of polycarbonate plastic, it has a luxurious, almost sculptural look. But while looking exceptional, it also delivers as a practical table lamp.
The Bourgie Table Lamp has a bucket shaped shade made from ribbed transparent polycarbonate 2.0 - an updated version of the plastic made from recycled materials. The shade has a diameter of 37cm and can be positioned at various heights thanks to an ingenious design. That way, the height of the lamp itself can range between 68cm and 78cm.
The base of the Bourgie Table Lamp has an intricate form with a slender section that makes the lamp easy to carry and a broad circular base to stabilise the design. There is a 190cm long cable which includes both the on/off switch and a dimmer. The lamp casts a variable light in all directions, and it requires 3 bulbs. Bulbs with the appropriate E14 socket are included in the delivery.
