This Eames Fiberglass Armchair RAR Rocking Chair White was designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the brand Vitra.
The classic lines of this 1950 rocking chair design will enhance any interior, and manufacture of the entire collection armchair A and side chair S lines has now re-commenced. The Eames line up of Shell Chairs were the first ever mass produced plastic seats and their unique feature was that the chair shell could be attached to any type of base. The RAR Rocking Armchair Rod Base was one of the most outstanding designs from the collection, as it is a comfortable fit for people of any height.
This fibreglass version of the traditional rocker adds another dimension altogether, as the fibres are visible and give a natural appearance to the seat. The Eames Fiberglass Armchair RAR Rocking Chair White is available with a variety of different coloured armchair shells and features a white powder coated Tower Steel leg base mounted on solid maple rockers. This comfy rocking chair measures 63 x 76 x 81 cm and has a seat height of 37cm. Seat Dots Cushions are available separately to fit the chair.
