Funiculí Table Lamp
The Funiculí Table Lamp has been created by Lluís Porqueras for the brand Marset. First created in 1979, the Funiculílamp was reintroduced by Spanish master Porqueras in 2013. Radically simplified, this table lamp strips away all unnecessary elements, leaving a pure light source for close document work, drawing, or computing.
The Funiculí Table Lamp takes its name from the Latin word 'funicular' which means 'up and down'. This movement can be seen on the spine of the lamp which features a clamp mechanism to raise the diffuser as required. This diffuser is shaped into a simple upturned bowl which can be rotated through 360 degrees. It has been formed from lacquered aluminium with a pure black finish, while the stem and round base are made from lacquered iron. A rubber rim runs around the base to complete an appealing design.
The Funiculí Table Lamp measures 50.3cm high, with a width of 36.2cm. The base diameter is 19.7cm and the diffuser diameter is 15.5cm, while the lamp comes with a 200cm long cable which also includes the on/off button. This timeless design accommodates energy efficient bulbs, and the appropriate ones with the E14 socket can be ordered under accessories.
