Ghost Floor Lamp
The Ghost Floor Lamp has been created by Andreas Kowalewski for the brand Woud. It is so called because it has a transparent, floating look. It is the designer's contemporary interpretation of traditional portable oil lamps.
The Ghost Floor Lamp has an elegantly curved shade made of translucent opal glass. It creates an illusion that a white fabric has been thrown over the light source just like ghosts are typically depicted. It has vertical grooves on it that go down its length. They play up the shade's sculptural design. It sits within a metal frame made of narrow tubes and is similarly arched. Its handle provides the means to lift and move the lamp. The frame also has a base that lifts the lamp off the floor. It is finished in black which creates a striking contrast against the white shade especially when the lamp is on.
The Ghost Floor Lamp has a height of 60cm and a diameter of 24cm. Its fabric-covered cable has a length of 250cm. It can be dimmed using the dimmable switch that is found on the cable. The appropriate bulb for this lamp is E14.
