Jonas Wagell is a respected Swedish architect and designer. JWDA, his own studio, is based in Stockholm and has won international renown for its prefab concept housing. Among Jonas Wagell's prestigious prizes are the Innovation and Archiproducts Design awards.
The JWDA Floor Lamp H 150cm is part of a lighting collection that draws its inspiration from the shape of traditional oil lamps. Its refined outline plays with geometry and contrasting materials to give a bold and contemporary look. The solidity of a cylindrical Travertine marble base offsets a slender metal stem in steel or brass which is topped by an elliptical opal glass shade. With a dimmer switch in the base, this sculptural floor lamp is a functional piece that looks just as much at home in traditional as it does in modern settings.
