The Original 1227 Floor Lamp was designed by George Carwardine for the brand Anglepoise.

The Original 1227 Floor Lamp is part of the Original collection. Intended to showcase the finest Carwardine designs, it includes some of the finest British lamps ever made. Although the Original 1227 Floor Lamp has a conventional floor lamp format, looks can be deceptive. For instance, the 200cm long cable is covered in soft fabric, and the lamp itself looks stunning with its painted aluminium frame. The structure is typical of the brand. Featuring an adjustable two-hinged spine, the lamp stands 146cm tall when fully extended, and has a rounded diffuser which casts light directly downwards. The bulb is a single E27/10W LED, which can be changed when needed, while the lamp can also be pivoted to face in various directions. The Original 1227 Floor Lamp offers a fine blend of beautiful form and functionality.
