Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll form one of Norway's most successful design partnerships, having won Red Dot Awards, Wallpaper Design Awards, and many other prestigious prizes since coming together in 2009. Their restless creativity and restrained instinct for minimalism is an excellent fit for Muuto, a brand which constantly showcases the best of contemporary Scandinavian design.
The Outline Day Bed 200x82cm is an impressive example of what they can do. Sleek, streamlined and extremely comfortable, it will provide relaxation space wherever it is used. Part of the larger Outline furnishings series, the Outline Day Bed 200x82cm plays off richly toned leather padding with extremely slim chrome steel legs, creating a retro-flavoured form that will delight Scandinavian design fans. It measures 200cm long and 82cm wide, and stands 40cm tall. That's long enough to stretch out on for a quick nap, and ideally proportioned for use as a bench as well. The use of cold foam filling ensures that it has plenty of firmness, but is forgiving and comfortable at the same time.
