Tolomeo Micro Terra Floor Lamp
The Tolomeo Micro Terra Floor Lamp was created by Giancarlo Fassina and Michele de Lucchi for the Artemide label. Slender, simple, and extremely versatile, it combines form and function in an impressive package and can be used in both professional and domestic situations.
Fassina and de Lucchi are two of the brand's key collaborators, having worked with the company since the 1980s. The Tolomeo collection emerged out of the cultural ferment of the late 80s and swiftly became one of Artemide's biggest selling products. Thanks to its elegance and functionality, the range became a staple in architects' studios, university libraries and studies across Europe.
The Tolomeo Micro Terra Floor Lamp is one of the most popular items in the collection. Standing 109cm tall, it can be easily angled to suit whatever activity the user is engaged in. Made from lightweight aluminium, it has a rounded 23cm diameter base, while the light's maximum width extends to 69cm. As with all Tolomeo lamps, it comes with an attractive anodised aluminium shade, and while capable of casting a powerful light, the carefully chosen materials ensure that it remains cool to touch at all times.
