Tres Stripes Wool Felt Carpet Runner. The Tres Stripes Wool Felt Carpet Runner was designed by Nani Marquina for her eponymous label NaniMarquina. For thirty years, Marquina and her team of Barcelona-based designers have been designing vibrant, dynamic textiles for the living environment. The daughter of the Spanish design icon Rafael Marquina, Nani founded NaniMarquina in 1987 with the intention of creating innovative textiles. In 2002, Nani's daughter Maria Piera Marquina joined her mother's design team that focusses on searching for and using the highest quality raw materials and manufacturing processes from scratch, producing rugs that have an air of authenticity, uniqueness and exclusivity. The stylish Tres Stripes Wool Felt Carpet was designed to look, upon first glance, like a regular Dhurrie carpet, a style of flat-woven carpet hailing from India. However, upon closer inspection you find that the carpet is made from three entirely different yarns - the 'Tres' of the carpet's name: 49% New Zealand Wool, 45% wool felt and 6% cotton. Thanks to the different thicknesses of each fibre, the carpet has a fascinating dynamic appearance that reflects the high-quality craftsmanship. There are two size options to choose form, 170cm wide by 240cm long or a more long and narrow version at 80cm wide and 240cm long.
