Turning Side Table
The Turning Side Table has been created by Theresa Rand for the brand Audo. Named after its innovative opening mechanism, Turning is a creative spin on traditional side tables. Doubling up as a table and cabinet, it will add storage capacity for the things that matter and be an attractive place to display flowers or share coffee with friends.
The Turning Side Table has a round table top with a diameter of 65cm, which has a raised circumference and forms a disc-shaped upper section. This upper section is supported by three legs, with horizontal struts connecting them to add strength. These legs have been made from solid wood, the struts are fashioned from plated chrome or brass, and the upper section is made from wood veneer - limiting the amount of wood used in the overall design.
The Turning Side Table has a height of 36cm and is available in either white or black. The circular table top also conceals a highly original storage compartment. By turning the upper surface around one of the legs, you can open this compartment, which will be a handy space for documents, electronics and even apparel or accessories. The overall effect is aesthetically impressive and superbly functional.
