The eye-catching Welle 3 Sofa Element was designed by Verner Panton for successful furniture label Verpan.
Celebrated Danish designer Panton had a character that was as colourful and inspirational as his designs. Over his long and prolific career, he designed a number of modern furniture pieces with designs that shirked the conventions of his Scandinavian contemporaries. The designer had a deep belief in the limitless possibilities when it came to shape and form, continually working to influence and change theories about how lighting and shade should interact and influence the environment and surroundings.
The bold and playful Welle 3 Sofa Element offers an innovative, humorous seating solution for your home or workspace. The name 'Welle' means 'Wave' and echoes the design's wave-like peaks and troughs. Thanks to the varying heights and sizes of each 'wave', the sofa elements can be placed individually or as part of a group to encourage social interaction between people and provide a customisable seating layout that adapts to the individual. The sofa element is constructed in robust polyurethane foam and wood for easy maintenance and cleaning, measures 50cm wide by 70cm high by 240cm deep and weighs 33kg.
